Hundreds have volunteered with the Hessed Haim and Emet organization to say the Kadish mourner's prayer on Friday, Dec. 22, or the 10th of the Jewish month of Tevet, a fast day and special occasion to pray for Jews whose burial place is unknown.
Since the war began, the organization has recruited 730 volunteers who took it upon themselves to say Kadish for the victims and fallen soldiers of Operation Swords of Iron. They have then turned to the public to find volunteers to say Kadish for 543 additional casualties, including the victims of the Nova music festival.
"There are many young murder victims in this war, some who have no one to say Kadish for them. This venture brings together the ends of the Israeli society and guarantees commemoration of the victim's memory," founder of Hessed Haim and Emet, Dror David Amos, said.
