Numerous weapons discovered in UNRWA premises in Gaza
The IDFrevealed that it had discovered, in the areas of Shati and Tel al-Hawa in northern Gaza, twenty terrorist infrastructure sites including a tunnel entrance near an UNRWA school. The tunnel, an "important part of Hamas' military intelligence services", passed under the building which serves as the main headquarters of UNRWA in the Gaza Strip.
Large quantities of weapons were found in rooms of the building, including rifles, ammunition, grenades and explosives. Intelligence and documents discovered in the offices of UNRWA officials confirmed that these offices had also been used by Hamas terrorists, the military claims.

15 terrorists were eliminated in wester Khan Yunis and carried out targeted raids on terrorist infrastructure, identifying several weapons, including AK-47s, ammunition magazines, and grenades. Israeli air forces stroke several buildings rigged with explosive devices located near the troops.
In Beit Lahia, Israeli troops also directed fire at an armed terrorist cell operating in an area adjacent to a Hamas military post.

According to the IDF statement, the 401st and the Nahal brigades in northern and central Strip reportedly killed dozens of terrorists within the past 24 hours.
In Khan Younis in southern Gaza, Israeli military conducted "targeted raids on terrorist targets" locating weapons including AK-47 rifles, sniper rifles, grenades, and ammunition. During the raid, the troops are said to have also killed 10 terrorists using close-range fire and aerial support.
Additionally, Israeli Air Force strike "a terrorist carrying explosive devices near the IDF troops."

The High Court of Justice received a petition by the family of Alon Shamriz, who was killed by friendly fire, to recognize him as a fallen soldier.
Shamriz was abducted by terrorists and taken to Gaza on Oct. 7, before escaping alongside Samer Talalka and Yotam Haim. In mid-December, the three were killed by Israeli infantry who mistook them for terrorists, despite waving a white flag and calling for help in Hebrew. This comes after Hamas terrorists employed psychological warfare against troops in the Palestinian enclave, including attempts to lure them into traps using recordings in Hebrew calling for help.
The Shamriz family previously made the request for recognition from the upper ecehlons of the IDF, which denied the request.
