The delegation comprises 25 high level figures – representatives from Jewish National Fund SA, South African Zionist Federation, the South African Jewish Board of Deputies and influential figures in the South African Jewish community.
Over the course of the next week, the delegation will embark on a comprehensive tour of Israel, engaging in meaningful dialogues with senior Israeli figures and visiting communities affected by the Gaza war. The itinerary includes a visit to the Gaza periphery communities to bear witness to the atrocities committed by Hamas on Oct. 7.
Ronnie Vinnikov, KKL-JNF chief development officer and head of Resource Development, said, "KKL – JNF is proud to facilitate this meaningful exchange, fostering connections that transcend geographical boundaries and contribute to global understanding. We see great importance in collaborating and deepening ties between KKL JNF and KKL South Africa in many fields alongside with the Jewish Agency. At these times we are proud to host the leading figures of the Jewish Community here in Israel and share with them the difficult times we had here since the Oct. 7 attack. "
