The IDF spokesperson announced Tuesday morning that Israeli forces have successfully eliminated Ahmed Fuzi Nasser Muhammad Wadiya, the commander of the Hamas elite unit responsible for leading the deadly assault on Netiv HaAsara during the October 7 attack.

Wadiya, who played a key role in Hamas's paraglider unit, infiltrated Netiv HaAsara using a paraglider on the day of the attack. In a chilling scene, he was captured on video drinking a Coke inside the Taasa family home, in front of the surviving children of Gil Taasa, who had been killed by the attackers.

The strike, executed by Israeli Air Force fighter jets under the guidance of the Shin Bet and Gaza Division, targeted a compound utilized by Hamas operatives from the Daraj Tuffah Battalion. Among those eliminated was another operative with combat expertise in engineering, sniping, and anti-tank warfare, who was responsible for supplying the explosives used to breach the border fence in the battalion's sector during the October 7 attack.

The precise strike on the compound where the terrorists were operating was located near the Al-Ahli Hospital compound in Gaza City. No strike was conducted inside the Al-Ahli Hospital premises. Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence.
