While Israel faces sharp domestic criticism over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to allow aid into Gaza, the international community is condemning the plan to rely on American companies for food distribution that will launch next week.
A Western diplomat severely criticized the Diplomatic-Security Cabinet's decision to relocate Gaza's population, particularly focusing on the food distribution plan utilizing American companies. Speaking with reporters, the diplomat characterized the Israeli plan as "insane and crazy," stressing that it cannot be implemented in practice.

The Western diplomat maintained there is no realistic way for two million Gaza residents to receive food through only four or five distribution points. "Do the math. Currently, there are 400 distribution points providing food to 6,000 people daily. According to the plan approved by the Diplomatic-Security Cabinet, the four planned points would need to serve 430,000 people. Even if we're talking about one representative per family carrying 20 or 30 kilograms (44-66 pounds) of food for a week, this has no chance of working. It's comparable to all Tel Aviv residents receiving their food in a single long line at Kikar Hamedina," the Western diplomat explained.
The diplomat also cautioned against depending on former US special forces personnel, predicting that "they will witness the mass rush toward them and resort to using force. This is a plan that simply cannot function. It has been attempted in other locations."
