Australian journalist Erin Molan isn't the only one stranded by flight cancellations – the former television presenter was scheduled to return to Australia on Friday, but instead woke to sirens at 3:00 a.m. and the beginning of warfare with Iran.
Her Friday morning social media post from downtown Tel Aviv reached her 267,000 followers with a message of solidarity, stating, "A lot has changed in the Middle East over the past few hours. I'm in Israel at the moment, and it's very much an eerie, kind of a lockdown feel... most people are close to safe rooms. As you all would be aware by now, Israel has declared war on Iran."
Molan highlighted the significance of the Israeli military operation, especially targeting Iran's leadership structure, before continuing, "Pray for the people of Israel, pray for the people of Iran – the vast majority of whom despise the regime in charge.

"The entire world should be incredibly grateful to Israel for carrying out these attacks on behalf of us all, because the enemy of terrorism and Iran's Islamic regime is not just Israel, it's the entire Western world."
Erin Molan previously served as a news anchor for Sky News Australia before her termination, which followed her consistent backing of Israel since the October 7 attacks.
