Senior Israeli sources have told Israel Hayom that the objective of Operation Rising Lion is to systematically deny Iran's capabilities to destroy Israel.

These capabilities encompassed the nuclear project and missile program, both of which have sustained significant damage through Israel's successive attack waves. Nevertheless, given Iran's development of extensive, powerful capabilities across a vast scale, Israel must continue intensive operations against Iran despite its current achievements. This is why Israeli officials define the current phase as a "campaign" rather than merely an operation.

Consequently, given the Iranian apparatus's magnitude, Israel anticipates continuing attack waves against Iran for at least several more days, possibly longer. Israeli officials stress that, unlike previous rounds with Iran over the past year and a half, this represents a unilateral, extended, and sustained Israeli initiative until objectives are met.

Israeli sources add that theoretically, should Iran announce the dismantlement of its destruction infrastructure – both nuclear and missile systems – the campaign would cease. However, the likelihood of such an announcement remains virtually nonexistent.

Israeli officials further emphasize their assessment that Iran retains considerable attack capabilities. Consequently, they assume Iran will target Israel and manage to inflict damage.
