Marco Rubio, the US secretary of state, appears to have managed to squeeze yet another role onto his already long list. Despite a string of senior responsibilities and positions in President Donald Trump's second administration, which have earned him the nickname "Secretary of Everything," Rubio is proving that no one is ever too busy for a party.

In a video posted on X by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, the senior diplomat is seen behind the DJ booth at a family wedding. Rubio, who was born and raised in Miami, is shown at the DJ station with one headphone pressed to his ear, leaning over a laptop and speaking with another DJ standing beside him to turn up the pace.

From Nixon to the Miami clubs

This is not the first time Rubio has stepped into big shoes: He is the first secretary of state to serve simultaneously as national security adviser since Henry Kissinger in the Nixon administration.

The president himself is known for his fondness for DJing at his private parties at Mar-a-Lago, where he often chooses the playlist himself, usually including songs from musicals and his regular hit, "YMCA." Now, it seems, he has a young and energetic successor behind the decks as well.
