Kuwait's Interior Ministry revealed Tuesday that four suspects affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had been arrested after attempting to infiltrate the country by sea.
During questioning, the suspects admitted that they belonged to Iran's Revolutionary Guards. They later confirmed that they had been instructed to infiltrate Kuwaiti-controlled Bubiyan Island using a rented fishing boat, with the aim of carrying out "hostile actions against Kuwait." Two additional suspects managed to escape.

During the arrest attempt and exchange of fire with the infiltrators, two members of Kuwait's security forces were injured. Kuwait's Foreign Ministry condemned the incident and placed full responsibility on the Iranian regime.
Kuwait subsequently demanded that Iran immediately stop the regime's hostile actions, which it said threaten regional security and stability.
