Israel Hayom is a media organization founded on the belief that the Israeli public deserves better journalism—more balanced, more accurate, and more reliable. Journalism that speaks rather than shouts. Journalism that is trustworthy, objective, and matter-of-fact. A different kind of journalism, offered free of charge. The first print edition was published on July 30, 2007, and in 2010 Israel Hayom became the Israeli newspaper with the highest weekday readership. The newspaper’s publisher is Dr. Miriam Adelson. Its Editor-in-Chief is Omar Lachmanovitch, and its founding editor is Amos Regev. Israel Hayom’s Hebrew and English websites, as well as its Android and iOS applications, provide around-the-clock news coverage, exclusive content, breaking news and updates, analysis and commentary, video, podcasts, and live broadcasts. The digital platforms of Israel Hayom include news and opinion channels covering culture and entertainment, lifestyle, technology, sports, business and consumer affairs, health, military affairs, food, Judaism, tourism, and automobiles. In 2021, a new Hebrew-language website and mobile application were launched to provide users with a fast, up-to-date, secure, and convenient experience. The content of the newspaper’s print edition is also available online through a daily digital edition and can be received via newsletter. “The Israel Hayom Clique,” the publication’s exclusive benefits club, offers website users discounts and special promotions on products and services. Israel Hayom welcomes feedback, criticism, and suggestions for improvement from its readers. You can contact the organization by email at hayom@israelhayom.co.il

This month saw the red carpet, ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of a sprawling new resort just east of Jerusalem, designed to host families and couples. Kassland Resort & Spa, situated on the grounds of the D-City complex in Ma'ale Adumim, near the road to the Dead Sea, is poised to become an alternative to traveling all the way to Eilat as a vacation destination.

Arguably, the primary attraction of the resort is Kass Splash, a water park that combines the largest indoor water park in the Middle East with an even larger outdoor component; together, they comprise one of the most comprehensive water parks in the region.

The other major features of Kassland include bowling lanes, D-Jump, a huge children's playground, Magic Kass, the largest indoor amusement park in the country, and the Atlantis Spa for adults. The good news for guests is that access to all these facilities – plus live entertainment performances nightly, excluding weekends – is included in the rates for an overnight (or longer) stay.

The nightly rate also includes a lavish breakfast buffet, with hot and cold dishes. In addition, there are extensive buffets for lunch and dinner, available at an extra charge. All the food served in the dining room – as well as at Aladino Bar and Restaurant, specializing in cocktails and grilled meats – is certified kosher l'mehadrin.

Comfortable accommodations

The resort offers approximately 220 guest units, in no fewer than 13 categories, including rooms and suites for couples and entire families, and accessible rooms for the physically challenged.

Inside the rooms and suites are every amenity that one expects in a five-star establishment: comfortable beds, user-friendly A/C, large flat screen television with satellite TV channels, laptop-sized electronic safe for valuables, and refreshment corner with complimentary mineral water, mini-refrigerator and Nespresso machine. Free WiFi extends to all guest rooms, as well as public spaces.

Atlantis Spa

The Atlantis Spa is one of the most amazing highlights of Kassland, boasting two separate treatment and bathing areas.

The Atlantis wellness complex, inspired by classic European thermal baths, comprises some 20 different pools and water installations, including cascading waterfalls, a rain pool, a flotation pool, and hydrotherapy pools equipped with hundreds of underwater massage jets. Maintained at a soothing temperature of up to 38°C (100°F) for year-round enjoyment, the facility also features dry and wet saunas, an infrared sauna, an authentic Turkish hammam, and a revitalizing snow room.

Finally, for the ultimate in pampering, a variety of professional massage treatments may be booked in advance.
