Four-year-old Yuval Kogan of Ashkelon was found safe and well following an extensive search, about a day after he disappeared.
Yuval's mother, Dina, spoke to him by video call minutes after he was found. "There's an ice pop waiting for you here. Mommy is waiting for you," she told him.
Israel Police Commissioner Danny Levy handed her the phone. Meanwhile, large crowds gathered on the beach and celebrated the boy's safe return.
The circumstances of the incident are still under investigation, but at this stage authorities consider it highly unlikely that Yuval was abducted.
