An initial report was received of a stabbing attack at Maoz Yehuda Farm, near the village of Osarin in Samaria. One person was found seriously wounded at the scene. Israel Defense Forces troops and police were dispatched to the area.
Magen David Adom said its 101 emergency hotline received a report of a man who had been stabbed at the site. MDA medics and paramedics, together with an IDF medical team, were treating him at the scene for a stab wound. The IDF said the details of the incident were under investigation. Officers from the Judea and Samaria District Police were also dispatched to the scene.
The IDF said a knife-wielding terrorist stabbed an Israeli civilian and fled. Large numbers of IDF troops were deployed to the area and launched a manhunt for him.
As part of the search for the terrorist, the IDF imposed a cordon on villages in the area. Officers from the Judea and Samaria District Police were also dispatched to the scene of the attack.
Magen David Adom emergency medic Aviel Mamalia said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a man about 20 years old who was fully conscious and had several stab wounds to his body. We provided him with initial medical treatment together with an IDF medical team, and he was evacuated to the hospital in moderate to serious condition."
