A suspected shooting attack unfolded near Neveh Tzuf in the Binyamin region northwest of Jerusalem on Sunday just before noon. One person sustained critical injuries following gunfire at the Ein Riya spring – also known as Ein Tzuf – which sits just outside the community fence. Magen David Adom emergency responders rushed to the scene and are currently administering life-saving medical treatment.

The military quickly confirmed the incident. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said, "IDF forces have launched a pursuit of the terrorist following a report received of a shooting attack in the Neveh Tzuf area in the Binyamin Brigade. Numerous IDF forces have launched a pursuit of the terrorist, and are establishing roadblocks in the area."
Initial dispatches from the scene indicate the gunfire originated from a passing vehicle and targeted civilians spending time near the spring. The exact circumstances of the attack remain under active investigation.
The Ein Riya spring is located outside the perimeter of Neveh Tzuf, adjacent to the community fence, and has historically served as a flashpoint for protests and clashes involving residents from the neighboring village.
