Over 100 Israeli rioters clashed with security forces Monday night in the village of Jalud in Samaria, violently disrupting a coordinated operation to return a displaced Palestinian family to their home. According to the IDF spokesperson, the intense violence ultimately prevented the family – who had previously fled due to nationalist attacks – from safely reentering their residence.
"The rioters blocked roads, set fires, structures & vehicles on fire and hurled rocks toward security forces, injuring 3 Israel Border Police officers," the IDF said. "Forces apprehended 2 suspects, who were transferred for questioning. Later the security forces will enter the area to collect findings and evidence as part of the investigation that has been launched." Three Border Police officers sustained light injuries during the clashes, and a security forces vehicle was damaged.
Security forces deployed riot dispersal measures to quell the unrest and apprehended two suspects at the scene, transferring them to the Judea and Samaria District Police for questioning.

Officials strongly condemned the attacks on security personnel and property. They emphasized that such internal unrest severely distracts forces on the ground, undermining their core defensive and counterterrorism operations.
The police subsequently announced the arrest of a third suspect, an 18-year-old from Jerusalem. A search of his car uncovered face masks, a club, and other items linking him to the violent outbreak. Authorities impounded his vehicle and confiscated a second car suspected of transporting other individuals involved in the assault.

The two initial suspects arrested by the IDF – aged 15 and 17, from northern Israel and the Binyamin region (a regional council in Judea and Samaria) – are currently undergoing police interrogation, bringing the total number of detainees to three.
