Like water, contagious diseases know no borders. But it is to be hoped that this crisis will enhance mutual trust and confidence between Palestinians and Israelis.

More cases of infection are being recorded daily in the PA and Gaza, it is only a matter of days until a general outbreak occurs, and when it does it will be Israel that is forced to pick up the pieces.

Beyond the fact that most of the regime consists of old men who smoke, its arrogant response to the virus has further eroded the faith of even its more traditional supporters.
