It's okay to recognize and admit how we are falling short at home while simultaneously rejoicing in the phenomenal achievements far away.

The recent elimination in Beirut marks a new phase in the conflict between Israel and the terrorist organization. Israel must fully utilize its intelligence tools to anticipate future responses. If an all-out war breaks out, Israel would be better off initiating a preemptive strike.

As Israel grapples with the aftermath of Oct. 7, the legal process must prevail over public anger. 

As the political deadlock persists, the Iran-backed terror group continues to strengthen its grip on power.

This should be a moment of shared grief that transcends politics, reported on with clear language. These were kids, with their whole lives ahead of them, killed on a summer afternoon. But instead of universal condemnation, we see media outlets hedging headlines and blurring the stark reality.

No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, it is foolish to think that the Jewish people can rely entirely on one party without scrutiny. What we should have learned after October 7 is that for both Republicans and Democrats, the relationship with Israel or the Jewish community is transactional.

Netanyahu’s speech in Washington marked a significant milestone toward the awakening of vital and positive forces in the United States – and the entire free world – in the face of the looming danger.

When dealing with a hostile administration, or even with an administration with which we have deep disagreements, addressing Congress is a way to remind the White House that it is not alone in the United States and that elected representatives are dissatisfied with its conduct.

As Prime Minister Netanyahu flies to the United States, he faces a meeting with outgoing President Biden and his preferred successor in the presidential race, Kamala Harris, who is not considered a friend of Israel. On Wednesday, Netanyahu will address both houses of Congress; it is not yet known if he will meet with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The PM is expected to tread carefully in his speech to Congress under the watchful eyes of Harris, the designated successor.
