US Navy reports loss of F-18 jet
The US Navy has reported the first loss of a manned aircraft since the start of operations against the Houthis, after a fighter jet fell from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman into the waters of the Red Sea. The incident occurred while ground crew members were towing the aircraft inside the carrier’s hangar bay and lost control, causing both the jet and the towing vehicle to plunge into the sea. One sailor sustained minor injuries.
