The Abraham Accords between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, mediated by the US, marks a significant new era in regional politics, international relations, and stability.
One cannot ignore the forces driving this treaty, first and foremost the new, different and contemporary geopolitical perception held by UAE leadership.

This is without a doubt the most important out of the three peace treaties Israel has struck with Arab countries, following Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994, as the peace accord with the UAE stands to have the most positive effect on the Middle East.
First and foremost, it has an impact on the Palestinian issue, with the suspension of Israel's plan to extend sovereignty to large parts of Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley. In addition, it affects the stability of the region, and it stands to have a favorable impact on scientific, economic, and technological developments.
One can only recall the words of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, who said, "History is written by leaders, and peace is struck by the brave."
Peace requires leaders to be strong, brave, and tolerant, as well as possess an open and different outlook; but most importantly they need to address the issue with genuine forethought because peace cannot be based on suspicion and mistrust.
We can see that those opposing the Abraham Accords among leaders as well as the public, prefer to see the past rather than the future. They have not internalized that change and influence can only be applied to the future – not the past – and that they cannot continue to oppose peace based on pure rejectionism.
UAE leaders possess a different vision and history will prove that their decisions were right.
As the dark forces in the Middle East, primarily Iran and its various proxies, try to change the regional balance of power – mostly be destabilizing it – the nations here must take a different view of things, just as their leaders do, and aspire for coexistence and peace among their nation and the Jewish state.
Controlling other nations by pure brute force, which is what Iran is trying to do, is no longer possible, as recent decades have proved. Today, true force comes in the shape of scientific breakthroughs, advancement and technology, and the clout a strong economy carries in a global environment that virtually eliminates geographical boundaries.
These, along with smart leadership, are what promote nations and help the development of people in all areas of life, thus contributing to humanity by saving lives rather than taking them.
