In an unprecedented event, three Arab security guards verbally assaulted representatives at an Israeli booth participating in the ITB tourism trade fair in Berlin Thursday, shouting anti-Israel slogans such as "Free Palestine" and "Freedom for Palestine."
The guards were employed by the firm charged with handling security at the event.
The offending security guards were removed from the premises, escorted by police officers called to the scene. The three were immediately suspended from their jobs.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
According to German news site Der Tagesspiegel, officials in Berlin have previously spoken out about the problematic practice among security firms in Berlin of employing young men with known ties to radical mosques.
