Welcome to the tribe: Supermodel Karlie Kloss reportedly converted to Judaism last month, and is planning to wed her fiancé, Joshua Kushner, in a Jewish ceremony in the near future.
Joshua, the brother of senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, proposed to the model several weeks ago. Kloss posted "a million times yes" on social media following the proposal, adding that "you're my best friend and my soulmate. I can't wait for forever together."
Kloss is not the first woman to convert to Judaism before marrying a Kushner. U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka, who married Jared Kushner in 2009, also converted to Judaism and maintains a Jewish lifestyle. To prepare for Jewish life, Ivanka studied with New York-based Orthodox Rabbi Haskel Lookstein.
Unlike Ivanka, Kloss supported Trump rival Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election and took part in the women's march, together with now-fiancé Kushner, after Trump's inauguration. But despite their opposing political positions, the future sisters-in-law maintain a close relationship.
