In the dramatic confrontation, a Yazidi woman who had been raped by an Islamic State terrorist confronted her attacker in front of millions of viewers worldwide.
The victim, Ashwaq Hajji Hameed, appeared on Iraqi television and demanded the attacker Abu Humam look her in the eye, but he refused to do so.

"Why did you do that to me?', she said, after which she collapsed.
According to international media reports, Hameed was taken forcibly by the terrorist group when she was 14 and then used as a sex slave. She eventually fled to Germany, only to bump into her attacker on a street in Stuttgart.
As a result of that encounter, she returned to Iraq, saying that she was frightened after the attacker stopped her on the street and told her he knew where she lived.
