A leading investigative journalism program brought disturbing allegations against Yesh Atid MK Meir Cohen, alleging he sexually harassed several women while serving as the mayor of Dimona.
According to Channel 12's Uvda ("Fact"), Cohen, who was nearly named Knesset speaker as part of the early coalition talks and is known as a very charismatic individual, was elected the mayor of the southern city and accumulated political clout, eventually also being elected to the Knesset and become the welfare minister.

Associates of Cohen interviewed by the show described the lawmaker as being "power-drunk" saying that his vast network of contacts and acquaintances are used to silence and intimidate coworkers, including several women who he allegedly harassed.
Cohen vehemently denies the allegations. His lawyers said they plan to file a slander suit against Channel 12 and Uvda's anchor, award-winning journalist Ilana Dayan.
