Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi talked to his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Sunday, officially launching communication between the two nations after Thursday's announcement that bilateral ties were being normalized.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the two congratulated each other and stressed both nations' commitment to promoting regional peace.
