Iran has paid the Afghan Taliban insurgents to carry out for multiple attacks on US forces stationed in the country last year, CNN reported Monday.
Citing a Department Defense official as alleging that a foreign government paid the Haqqani network – a group closely affiliated with the Taliban– for a deadly attack on the Bagram Airbase on Dec. 11, 2019, in which two civilians were killed and 70 others wounded.
