Israeli troops stationed at a checkpoint near the city of Ariel in Samaria prevented a stabbing attack Sunday.
According to available details, a Palestinian armed with a knife tried to stab the troops then fled the scene. The soldiers gave chase and apprehended the assailant, who has been turned over to security forces for interrogation.
