Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi on Saturday spoke with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abd al-Latif a-Ziani by phone – the two officials' first conversation in the wake of the announcement of a peace agreement between Israel and Bahrain by US President Donald Trump.

The two men welcomed the agreement to normalize diplomatic relations between their countries, nearly a month after the peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
