A new stamp in honor of Hanukkah has been issued by the US Postal Service and is available for purchase, the USPS announced Tuesday.
"This new Hanukkah stamp illustrates the lighting of the hanukiah [menorah] on the last evening of the holiday," said USPS Controller and Vice President Cara Greene.

A virtual dedication ceremony will be posted on the USPS Facebook and Twitter pages. The event includes remarks from Greene, Rabbi Lennard Thal and stamp artist Jing Jing Tsong, who chose her colors intentionally to evoke Hanukkah traditions as seen through the eyes of children.
This year, Hanukkah begins on the evening of Dec. 10. The stamp is part of the USPS's Forever line, whose stamps are always equal in value to the one-ounce price for First Class mail.
