A massive wildfire was reported Friday morning between Modi'in Illit and Kfar Oranim. Firefighters from 25 different stations were scrambled to help get the fire under control as it threatened to spread to nearby homes.
The Israel Police evacuated the row of homes in Kfar Oranim closest to the fire.

A squadron of four firefighting planes was helping douse the flames from the air, and two additional aircraft have been called in.
A situation room has been opened.
