The IDF is bracing for violence in the Gaza Strip, including potential rocket fire on Israel next week, which marked the first anniversary of the killing of Islamic Jihad "chief of staff" Baha abu al-Ata.

Ata, defined by the military as a "ticking time bomb," was killed in a drone strike last November in an operation codenamed "Blackbelt."
A defense official told Israel Hayom that intelligence assessment indicates that Islamic Jihad could be gearing up to stage some sort of terrorist attack, but hedged that given the dire situation in Gaza over the coronavirus, the scope of any such attack was hard to predict.
