An indictment was filed Thursday against Walid Abu-Madiam, saying that he planned a stabbing attack.
He was apprehended near the Lions' Gate in Jerusalem's Old City by security forces who thought he was acting suspiciously. He was found to be in possession of a knife.
The prosecution has asked the court to remand him to police custody pending the conclusion of the legal proceedings in the case.
