Israel's national deficit 11.1% of its gross domestic product in November. According to the Finance Ministry, that figure represents 151 billion shekels ($46 billion). The figures relate to the 12 months ending in November.

The ministry has projected that the deficit in 2020 will reach 13%, citing the recession triggered by the coronavirus pandemic, financial daily Globes reported Sunday.
The government has so far allocated NIS 59 billion ($18 billion) for bailout plans aiming to deal with the economic consequences of the pandemic, out of a total of NIS 101 billion ($30 billion) injected into the economy from various sources.
