Telem leader Moshe Ya'alon announced Monday that he was dropping out of the Knesset race, saying Telem will not vie in the March 23 elections.

Ya'alon had split from Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid last month hoping to run independently, but polls have consistently projected that Telem will fail to cross the prerequisite four-Knesset-seat electoral threshold.
"I believed that an independent run by Telem would contribute to effecting change but that assumption has been proven wrong," he said, urging voters "to choose clean leadership, a leadership with integrity."
