Pensioners party head Danny Yatom announced Wednesday that he was pulling out of the election race. Yatom endorsed Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid and urged other Center-Left parties to unite under his leadership.

Citing campaign financing difficulties, Yatom said that he "spent the last few days trying to join forces with other parties but unfortunately, none of them seem eager to prioritize the issue of senior citizens."
Polls have consistently predicted that an independent run by the Pensioners party would fail to cross the electoral threshold.
