Police were summoned to the settlement Itamar in Samaria Thursday night to break up a wedding with some 100 participants that was taking place outside the community itself in violation of the country's COVID restrictions that ban mass gatherings.

While breaking up the event, a few dozen participants began throwing rocks and other objects at the police. Three police officers were injured and evacuated for medical treatment. Additional forces were scrambled to the scene to send the guests home and restore order.
