Argentine police have deployed forces to protect the chairman of Argentina's largest umbrella Jewish group after an anti-Semitic letter calling him to leave the country was sent to his office, JTA reported on Friday.

This is not the first time that anti-Semitic threat were sent to the head of the Delegation of Argentine Israelite Associations (DAIA), Jorge Knoblovits, but security personnel within the organization recommended that he call the police this time.
Following Buenos Aires' designation of Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah as a terrorist organization in 2019, Knoblovits received a slew of anonymous threats, Argentina's largest media group Clarin recently reported.
