The Gaza Strip-based Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group announced over the weekend that it will boycott the Palestinian parliamentary election scheduled for Mat because the vote is being held under the auspices of the Oslo Accords.

The Iranian-backed PIJ has boycotted all previous Palestinian presidential and parliamentary elections.
Palestinian sources said that decision to boycott the elections, which is slated to be the first time the Palestinians go to the polls in 15 years, was taken in coordination with Iran.
