A Russian intelligence agency and Chinese spies were behind cyberattacks on the European Medicines Agency, Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant, reported on Saturday.

The European drug regulator reported a cyberattack back in December, saying that documents on coronavirus vaccines and medicines were leaked on the internet, the report said.
According to the report, the Chinese had gained access to the data by hacking the systems of a German university, while the Russians are alleged to have exploited flaws in the EMA's cyber defenses.
