"In Her Image" features women who suffer from or have suffered from eating disorders and negative body image posed nude as figures from classical art, challenging viewers to examine their perception of the women's beauty.
Solomonovich says the film started out as an examination of women's relationship with food and an attempt to understand her own difficulty with food after suffering from an eating disorder for years.
"The female body is exposed from close up, from a distance, without covering, without makeup, and without Photoshop… My goal is to confront viewers with the female body and give it a stage to see what it awakens in us. Love? Attraction? Repulsion? Pain? Identification? Criticism?" Solomonovich says.
