Yanki Kanievsky, the grandson of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, one of the greatest Lithuanian Torah scholars and authorities in Israel, urged New Hope leader Gideon Sa'ar on Sunday to "forgo" his ego and join a government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a phone conversation, Kanievsky reportedly told Sa'ar that if he helped establish a right-wing coalition, the Haredim would "remember him for it" after Netanyahu was no longer in power.
Sa'ar declined to do so.
