Hundreds of Israelis, including dozens of disabled IDF veterans, heeded the call of the Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan Wednesday and donated blood for the treatment of Itzik Saidyan.

The 26-year-old disabled veteran remains in critical condition after his self-immolation on April 13, 2021, which he did in protest over his treatment for PTSD.
Defense Minister Benny Gantz was one of the donors.
Magen David Adom urged the public to donate blood to the National Blood Bank, citing a severe shortage.
Saidyan's family thanked the donors, as did the IDF Disabled Soldiers Association.
