The remarks were made in a phone conversation he had with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, state news agency QNA reported.
A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the terrorist group controlling the Gaza Strip, was brokered by Egypt after an 11-day conflict that erupted on May 10. The truce held on Saturday as Egyptian mediators pressed on with talks with the two sides on securing longer-term calm, officials said.
