To the organizers' surprise, along with several hundred Jews and Christians, a group of Iranian exiles joined them to express support for Israel's right to defend itself.
Waving pre-1979 Revolution Iranian flags, they explained to the surprised public that it was important for them to show their support and present Islam as seeking peace among the nations.
