Former Balad MK Hanin Zoabi is slated to strike a plea bargain that would see her convicted of fraud and forgery, for which she will receive a suspended sentence and a fine, Channel 12 News reported Sunday.

The allegations pertain to financial irregularities in the hawkish Balad party, elected to parliament as part of the Joint Arab Lost.
Zoabi is accused of forging documents that were presented to the State Comptroller's Office between 2013 and 2016, so as to misrepresent the source of millions of shekels the party had received.
Zoabi stands to agree to the plea bargain in the coming days, a Balad source said. Thirteen additional Balad activists have also been implicated in the case and are in various stages of negotiating plea bargains, the report said.
