Israeli shipping giant ZIM has announced an agreement with Seaspan Corporation for a long-term charter worth over $1.5 billion for 10 7,000 TEU liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel container vessels, to serve across ZIM's various global-niche trades.

The deal follows one signed between the two firms in February 2021 for a long-term charter agreement for 10 15,000 TEU LNG-fueled vessels.
