Foreign Minister Yair Lapid has invited his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita to visit Israel as part of an official delegation.

The invitation was delivered on Wednesday by Foreign Ministry Director-General Alon Ushpiz, who is currently on an official visit to Rabat.
"Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Ministry Alon Ushpiz has delivered on my behalf a letter to the Foreign Affairs Minister of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, inviting him to make the first official visit by a Moroccan foreign minister to Israel," Lapid tweeted.
"The complete renewal of diplomatic relations between Israel and Morocco, under the aegis of His Excellency King Mohammed VI, is a historic step in relations between our peoples," he added.
