The 37-year-old Tayeb, who is currently based in Los Angeles, has just recently announced the birth of her second daughter. Her image is one of the rotating faces on what are probably the most LED billboards on earth.
Spotify, which calls its initiative EQUAL, says it "aims to foster equity for women in audio." It just recently announced the official launch of the program "and inaugural class of 35 female artists from around the world – including Saweetie, Natalia Lafourcade and Tkay Maidza – who will receive playlist support."
Tayeb took to Instagram to share with her followers how humbled she was by this gesture.
"God is everywhere. I knew that ever since I was born and I'm still in awe. It's in the smallest details and the big huge ones. We just gotta keep our hearts open even if we are too scared to feel," she wrote. "I got so many gifts in the last two weeks, and in my life in general, I'm forever thankful and this is definitely one of the big ones:
TIMES SQUARE NYC!! this is insanely unbelievable. Thank you @spotify for this enormous opportunity, for giving me the chance to be equal regardless [...] I am so honored."
