Iran will return to the Vienna nuclear talks when the United States fulfills its commitments to the JCPOA, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said Friday, after announcing that Iran had reached a level of uranium enrichment that would allow it to use nuclear energy for civilian purposes.

Iran will not waste time on negotiations unless the US returns to the talks, Amirabdollahian said at a press conference in Beirut.
Discussing Iranian ties with Azerbaijan, which has grown closer to Israel in recent years, the Iranian officials said that Tehran was "not willing" to allow "the Zionist entity' to conduct intelligence operations near its borders.
"The Zionist entity is too small to pose a danger to Iran. But we are not willing to allow it to maintain a security presence on our borders. The presence of Israeli intelligence in Azerbaijan does not serve that country's interests. We will not allow the Zionist entity to carry out actions in the Caucasus," he added.
Amirabdollahian also said that the "resistance axis" in Lebanon played an important role and said that Hezbollah, an Iranian satellite, was at the "front" of defending the Lebanese people.
"In the near future, you will see the results of Iran's activities to bring peace and security to the region," he said.
Before leaving Beirut, Amirabdollahian met with Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah.
Nasrallah thanked the Iranian delegation and the Islamic Republic for their "support for Lebanon, the country, its citizens, and the resistance movement of the past few decades."
Nasrallah said that Iran had proven itself a "loyal ally and friend" to Lebanon.
