Cleared for publication: A 29-year-old resident of the Gaza Strip was recently arrested in connection with a string of arson attacks in central Israel.
Suliman Cas'ab, a resident of the southern Gaza town of Khan Yunis, was arrested on suspicion he carried out a number of arson attacks in Ramle, a mixed city in central Israel.
According to available details, Cas'ab entered Israel legally in January, using a permit issued for humanitarian reasons over his mother's medical condition.
The Central District Attorney's Office indictment Cas'ab, a member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, on weapons offenses, terrorist arson, contact with a foreign agent and violating the condition of his entry permit.
The indictment further stated Cas'ab had undergone "military training that included firearms and physical strength training, in order to act against the State of Israel and its citizens."
