Thousands of right-wing Israelis rallied in Tel Aviv on Tuesday night against the new government led by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, calling for the return to power of Likud opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu.

The rally at Habima Square was organized by Likud.
Speakers included Likud MKs Miri Regev, Amir Ohana and Tzachi Hanegbi as well as Religious Zionism MKs Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir.
The largest right-wing rally since Netanyahu was ousted from power in June after 12 years as prime minister comes ahead of a Nov. 14 deadline to pass the state budget. If the budget fails to pass, the coalition will be dissolved and new elections will be scheduled.
A counter-rally was held nearby at Rabin Square, organized by the Labor party.
Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli was the keynote speaker at the event, which took place at the spot where 26 years ago then-prime minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated.
Rabin's daughter, former deputy defense minister Dalia Rabin, attended the rally.
Before departing for the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Bennett reassured that the first state budget in more than three and a half years will pass this week despite "desperate" attempts by the opposition to topple the government and head to new elections.

"Once the budget passes this week, it buys many years of stability for the government," Bennett said.
The opposition will not succeed in forcing a fifth round of elections since April 2019, the premier emphasized.
