Religious Services Minister Matan Kahana will receive a security detail following threats, the Israeli Security Agency confirmed Sunday.

The decision followed a threat assessment by the Shin Bet, which ruled it was credible enough to assign Kahana bodyguards.
The threats appear to be connected to Kahana's plans to instate reforms in several hot-button issues, including kashrut supervision and prayer at the Western Wall.
